I tried it (again, I already did around half a year ago), but although the script works fine, I was not able to boot the g4u kernel with the stick (which is no problem using a CD). Hardware is Dell PowerEdge 2950 the kernel boots, but writes exit exit exit exit ... ca. 100x on the console and reboots. So not that much options to debug (I have attached a serial cable to the machine, though, maybe one could re-direct the output to that one). I think I tried to boot a usual amd64 image using this script around half a year ago, which works fine. And - as I said - the g4u image works perfectly on a CD. Unfortuantely, I had no luck trying to understand what is really different (BIOS?) when using a USB stick. But maybe it is also hardware related, so it would be interesting to hear about other experiences.
