Category: filetransfer Group: http proxy Status: Closed Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: pmeek (pmeek) Assigned to: Tim Ringenbach (marv_sf) Summary: Yahoo + Buddy Icons + HTTP Proxy = Broken Initial Comment: I'm currently using Gaim 2.0.0beta4 on a Fedora Core 4 box. I am forced to run all of my IM connections though an http proxy, but I'm unable to see/use yahoo buddy icons using this configuration. I've searched the bug system as best I could, but the only information I've been able to gather is listed below. I realize I'm in a small percentage of your user base, but I was hoping someone might be feeling charitable enough to take another look at the code that broke this feature and see if it might be possible to make yahoo buddy icons work both with and without a proxy. Thanks. ----- From: http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-announce-list/2005-March/msg00015.html This fixes the crash in the Gadu Gadu protocol, and makes Yahoo file transfer and buddy icons work for the more common non-proxy case. Unfortunately this probably breaks the less common proxy case. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: DragonK (dragonk) Date: 2007-04-06 12:18 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=205213 Originator: NO I'm using gaim 2.0.0 beta 6 and I'm still having this issue. There is an (obfuscated) part of the conversation through the proxy: GET /users/41ead7d3z8840a4d6/xxxxxx/__sr_/e345.jpg?pfaLfFGBG_RARoZZ HTTP/1.0 Connection: close Accept: */* Host: us.f2.yahoofs.com HTTP/1.0 400 Bad Request Server: squid/2.6.STABLE12 Date: Fri, 06 Apr 2007 07:07:26 GMT Content-Type: text/html Content-Length: 1306 Expires: Fri, 06 Apr 2007 07:07:26 GMT X-Squid-Error: ERR_INVALID_REQ 0 X-Cache: MISS from xxxxxxxx.xxxx.xxxxxx.com X-Cache-Lookup: NONE from xxxxxxxx.xxxx.xxxxxx.com:3128 Via: 1.0 xxxxxxxx.xxxx.xxxxxx.com:3128 (squid/2.6.STABLE12) Proxy-Connection: close Can anybody confirm this ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Daniel Atallah (datallah) Date: 2006-11-22 17:49 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=325843 Originator: NO I believe that this has been fixed in svn (after beta5 was released). If this isn't fixed in the next release, please re-open. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100235&aid=1585342&group_id=235 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
