Hi,
Ok, so not necessarily strictly game related, but some incredible show of how Microsoft AI could help blind people, and I could see how it might have some benefits for non-computer based games. Basically, a developer friend of mine just got back from the Microsoft conference a couple of days back, where they presented a new technology called the Microsoft seeing AI, basically the blind guy show casing the product shows how using an app on his smart phone with a click of a button the glasses can identify his surroundings, but in huge detail to the extent that it tells him the age and mood of the people around him, seriously impressive stuff. But using the app on his phone it shows it reading menus in restaurants to, so maybe potentially that technology could be used to read text from board games, or documentation like character sheets and stuff for people who play role playing games. I've put a link to the uTube video demonstrating the product below for anyone who wants to take a look, it's only a couple of minutes but so seriously impressive to see what AI and technology can do these days. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2mC-NUAmMk Paul --- Gamers mailing list __ Gamers@audyssey.org If you want to leave the list, send E-mail to gamers-unsubscr...@audyssey.org.
