Mine also says realtek high definition audio when I go in the volume
control. I still don't understand why it won't let me enable both stereomix
and mic.

On xp my real tech high def card will not have mic and stereo mix on this
laptop.
the other laptop does I even tried upgrading the sounds resulting in a
nice unstable computer and I had to go back to the old version.
