On my end, I think I am pretty happy with the state of trunk that I
would go ahead and recommend we branch.  I guess the only issue
outstanding is in configure.in with the svnversion call.  Perhaps we
can just change that call to 9999 or something so that by default, if
a user checks out a development branch/trunk and builds, that would be
the NANO_VERSION.  When we (as developers) release builds, the rule
would be to manually change the number to the SVN version.
