Yep, its part of the CFLAGS passed in by the %configure macro when
doing 'rpmbuild --target ppc64 ...'.

I'll try to get around to poking at it soonish, but I'm a bit buried with

I'd have to jump through some hoops to get running on s390x, don't have
anything standing by, immediately ready. There's always the hercules s390{,x}
emulator... :) (which actually works pretty well for basic s390/x testing,
albeit very slowly).

I've got ia64 immediately available, no mips64 though. ia64 is 64-bit only,
except for the 32-bit x86 emulation stuff that it can do, but that's a mutant
beast that you need not worry about... So yeah, ia64 simply uses /usr/lib, no
lib64 usage.
