Interestingly after someone on #ganglia Freenode channel complained about
this issue
RRD_update
(/var/lib/ganglia/rrds/mycluster/__SummaryInfo__/load_one.rrd):
/var/lib/ganglia/rrds/mycluster/__SummaryInfo__/load_one.rrd: illegal
attempt to update using time 1315948648 when last update time is
1315948648 (minimum one second step)
I experienced the same issue :-). It exhibits itself in Summary Graphs
looking rather odd ie. Total CPU line (red-line) in load graph is jagged.
I have multiple clusters and this was happening to one of the clusters.
I'm using unicast for transport and noticed that running
gstat -a -i aggregator -p 9000
and
gstat -a -i aggregator -p 9001
gave me the same cluster name e.g.
CLUSTER INFORMATION
Name: mycluster
Problem was that we pushed some config management changes and there was a
typo that cause two of the aggregator gmonds to have the same name in
gmond.conf. I changed the name to correct one and things returned back to
normal.
Hope this helps.
