I think I have worked around on this. Fix was to enable the parameter
bind_hostname = yes.
It was with couple of the nodes configured with multiple interfaces, had
problems sending the metrics. Once the above parameter is enabled and gmond
is restarted, the metrics are seen collected at the ganglia master gmetad.
