Dear all: Just want to let you guys know that I have just created a new branch for gmond DSO metric module interface for Perl development:
http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/ganglia/browser/branches/monitor-core-mod_perl This is essentially the same as mod_python but instead of writing Python code for metric collection, you can write Perl code. For more information, please refer to the README: http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/ganglia/browser/branches/monitor-core-mod_perl/gmond/modules/perl/README.in I have made available a tarball (bootstrapped with automake 1.11) with the mod_perl code here: http://therealms.org/oss/ganglia/ganglia-3.2.0.2338.mod_perl.tar.gz I have been developing on Fedora 11 i386 and it built and run fine. I could use help testing on different architectures (eg. Solaris, BSD, etc.). Also it would be good to run some tests against "real" Perl collection code as I have just been testing with the example modules. Reply back if you have any issues, questions, etc. Thanks, Bernard ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This SF.net Dev2Dev email is sponsored by: Show off your parallel programming skills.
