I just tried to compile Linux kernel 2.6.20.1 with the GNU C++ compiler version 4.3 snapshot 20070223.
The compiler said drivers/media/video/pwc/pwc-dec23.c: In function 'pwc_dec23_init': drivers/media/video/pwc/pwc-dec23.c:305: error: invalid reference prefix {63368} drivers/media/video/pwc/pwc-dec23.c:305: error: invalid reference prefix {63368} drivers/media/video/pwc/pwc-dec23.c:305: error: invalid reference prefix {63368} drivers/media/video/pwc/pwc-dec23.c:305: error: invalid reference prefix {63368} drivers/media/video/pwc/pwc-dec23.c:305: internal compiler error: verify_stmts failed Please submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if appropriate.
