Thanks Karin, Catriona, & Lyle---

I really appreciate the feedback I've received from folks about River.  While I'm not exactly new to geckos, I am new to leopards.  Received a healthy pair in June, female at 57 gms and male at 75 gms.  Then this rescue River who reached his low (I hope) on 9/27/03 at 15 gms....yes, my head is shaking.  Now when I awake at night, River will get fed once.

Do you recommend keeping him at say low to mid 80s without a temp drop to around 75 F in his current emaciated state?

The vet recs no more than 0.6 ml daily of syringed Reptile Fare.  I'm going to ask whether it might be a good idea to additionally syringe Pedialyte orally and/or water.

By tomorrow afternoon the results from the bacteria culture should be in.

Lyle---I had previously heard somewhere about Pedialyte soaks for dehydrated animals, so actually I had already tried several tepid soaks in Pedialyte prior to my vet visit Sat.  BUT the vet said ONLY WATER SOAKS!  He said that Pedialyte causes additional dehydration (?) and that Gatorade is even worse.

What do you all recommend so that I can give River his best chance, yet protect all my other geckos from any problems River has including pinworms?  River's 10 gallon is in a separate room from my other geckos, but it is right next to the 20 housing my two other leopards.

The moist food my vet gave me is Reptile Fare from Reliable Protein Products (760-321-7533 or [EMAIL PROTECTED]) if the info printed in the vet's Gecko pamphlet dated Oct 2000 is still current.

Sorry if I have switched sexes here.  River's owners think she's female and the vet wouldn't venture a guess at this stage, but I think I see femoral pores.
