BTW - is there somewhere that these scripts could be put so that the execute for ALL kde users?
$KDEDIR/env/startup-scripts.sh and $KDEDIR/shutdown/shutdown-scripts.sh
KDEDIR is normaliy something like /usr/kde/3.3. You may put multiple scripts in this dirs.
