Here's what solved a problem for me. I posted this email in early April, so my problem was around mid-March... ====================================================================== I emerge/updated world a couple of weeks ago. xmms 1.2.10 no longer handled "pls" streaming. It wouldn't even respond to the old hack of downloading the .pls file and opening it on your drive with xxms. The correspondence on http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=85165 has the following fix, which worked for me...
