This has been now marked as a duplicate of another bug[1], which in turn links to a message on the gentoo-mirrors ML[2] from about a month ago. I am not sure I understand the implications. Are the amd64 images all corrupt, and thus should not be used for installation? If so, they should not be linked to on the main download site.
