Okay, thank you. This has been now marked as a duplicate of another
bug[1], which in turn links to a message on the gentoo-mirrors ML[2]
from about a month ago.

I am not sure I understand the implications. Are the amd64 images all
corrupt, and thus should not be used for installation? If so, they
should not be linked to on the main download site. If not, can someone
with access to the GPG signing key please publish the correct checksums
signed somewhere so we have an interim workaround?
