Which program are you looking for? I found a program called "gmplayer" but it is written in Visual Basic. There is another one available from npm but I'm not sure that is what you want, either. Did you perhaps mean something like gnome-mplayer? The name you are looking for isn't in portage, so if you're sure you have the proper binary name you will need to compile and install it yourself.
