The CPU is 64-bit and as has already been suggested using a 64-bit LiveCD/USB to boot with and install will work fine. For requisite CFLAGS in /etc/ portage/make.conf, take a look here: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Safe_CFLAGS
