Looks like busybox has been added to the system profile: /usr/portage/profiles/default-linux/packages:*sys-apps/busybox You could override this with: echo "-*sys-apps/busybox" >>/etc/portage/profile/packages But make sure you really know what you are doing if you do this. My recommendation would be just to merge busybox with USE=-*. My amd64 system hasn't had any ill effects from having it installed. -Richard -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
