How can I get rid of this block? Is there any danger in masking < PHP5?

echo "dev-php/PEAR-DB ~x86" >> /etc/portage/package.keywords

Just about anything PEAR based is going to need a ~x86 or it'll attempt to pull dev-php/php4 in as a dep. At least that's been my experience over the last weeks installing all the groundwork for a major php app.
