Well, using lspci -v 02:07.0 Serial controller: 3Com Corp, Modem Division 56K FaxModem Model 5610 (rev 01) (prog-if 02 [16550]) Subsystem: 3Com Corp, Modem Division Unknown device 00d7 Flags: medium devsel, IRQ 16 I/O ports at dc00 [size=8] Capabilities: [dc] Power Management version 2 then dmesg | grep tty serial8250: ttyS0 at I/O 0x3f8 (irq = 4) is a 16550A serial8250: ttyS0 at I/O 0x3f8 (irq = 4) is a 16550A 0000:02:07.0: ttyS1 at I/O 0xdc00 (irq = 16) is a 16550A So I think modem is on /dev/ttyS1.
