Thanks, that's pretty much what I had.  I'm interested in your
framerates though.  With glxgears I only get about 130 fps with the
radeon driver, yet I get 2500+ fps with ati-drivers...

Any suggestions? What can I look for to make sure I've done it right
(apart from a working X!)?
