Folks; Just merged hal, dbus, and ivman. dbus starts, but hald does not and there is no hint in the /var/log/messages as to why. Running kernel 2.6.16 (kde-3.5.2) Starting hald gives the following output, but nothing else
# /etc/init.d/hald start * Re-caching dependency info (mtimes differ)... * Re-caching dependency info (mtimes differ)... * Re-caching dependency info (mtimes differ)... * Re-caching dependency info (mtimes differ)... * Starting Hardware Abstraction Layer daemon ... [ !! ] ivman cannot start cos it depends on a running hald Any clues to help solve this issue 'll be appreciated.
