emerge --sync

rm /usr/portage/distfiles/offender.tbz2

As far as your current problem:

emerge --oneshot xproto kbproto libSM
emerge --oneshot libXt
emerge xorg-x11

Uhm, it seems to work :) Thank you very much (except the libSM,
everything has been emerged before, maybe a broken dependencie or
stuff)
