Yep, it was this line that was causing my issue:

# grep RgbPath /etc/X11/xorg.conf
    #RgbPath    "/usr/lib/X11/rgb"

Are you certain that you are actually using /etc/X11/xorg.conf?

# grep xorg.conf /var/log/Xorg.0.log
(==) Using config file: "/etc/X11/xorg.conf"

I don't really have other ideas (short of filing a bug). Maybe others do.
