By far the easiest way to get IE running is to use ies4linux: http://www.tatanka.com.br/ies4linux/page/Main_Page It runs under regular wine, and creates a new fake windows dir to install into, leaving your normal ~/.wine strrictly alone. By default it installs IE5, 5.5 and 6 but you can select which discrete versions you want. Debugging something in wine (or crossover) requires command line and channels to be set so you can see what's happening. You are likely to get better results from the wine mailing list (www.winehq.org) than here, but to start what is the last 20 or lines from WINEDEBUG=+loaddll /command/to/install/ie alan -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
