I had a look at that before but it didn't help. in /etc/make.conf I only have FEATURES="buildpkg" Then I tried FEATURES=-sandbox emerge -av sys-cluster/mpich2 and FEATURES=userpriv emerge -av sys-cluster/mpich2 but both of which fail with an ACCESS VIOLATION.
