Hi Adam. Thanks for your help.
I read that document a while ago. It says I need : 1) gentoo-sources 2.6.29 + : I'm ok, my version is 2.6.29-r5 2) xorg-server 1.6+ : here I'm too old. I have 1.5.3-r6. however, emerge says that 1.5.3-r6 is the latest available.... 3) xf86-video-intel 2.6.1+: I have 2.6.3-r1. Do you think it wold be a good idea to upgrade xorg, even if emerge says I've the latest available version? Thank you, Massimiliano On Fri, Jun 19, 2009 at 5:01 PM, Adam Carter <adam.car...@optus.com.au>wrote: > > That diference definately explains poorer 3D performance in gentoo compared > to ubuntu.
