Hello,

I have this now:
2.6.30-gentoo-r4
xorg-server-1.6.3
xorg-x11-7.4
radeon driver compiled into kernel not a module per:
http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/desktop/x/x11/ati-migration-guide.xml

and appropriate mods to xorg.conf

I'm manually starting X until it is happy.

/var/log/Xorg.0.log

(II) Loading extension DRI2
(II) LoadModule: "radeon"
(II) Loading /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/drivers//radeon_drv.so
(II) Module radeon: vendor="X.Org Foundation"
        compiled for 1.5.3, module version = 6.12.1
        Module class: X.Org Video Driver
ABI class: X.Org Video Driver, version 4.1
(EE) module ABI major version (4) doesn't match the server's version (5)
(II) UnloadModule: "radeon"
(II) Unloading /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/drivers//radeon_drv.so
(EE) Failed to load module "radeon" (module requirement mismatch, 0)
(EE) No drivers available.

Do I have to uses radeon as a loadable module?
I've always statically compiled it into the kernel...

What did I miss?
