I'm not quite an expert at Gentoo but have just been asked recently by someone to take a look at their server...which I did. I tried doing emerge dmidecode for example and got: # emerge dmidecode --- Invalid atom in /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask:

!!! ARCH is not set... Are you missing the /etc/make.profile symlink? !!! Is the symlink correct? I checked the CHOST value and ACCEPT_KEYWORDS also in /etc/make.conf and I have: ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" Portage version is: sys-apps/portage-2.0.51.22-r3 What else can I do ? I'm running around in circles:) Please help if possible.
