We'd need app sink/src, which are in gst-plugins-bad for whatever
reason.  Also, that code is the old ffmpeg colorspace conversion code.
 Not as important, but also a consideration is that the new work (from
ffmpeg's point of view) is going into libswscale.

Ekiga had some issues when they tried to use it, but this was a year ago:
