Reminder:  ManchLUG meeting tomorrow (Tuesday 10/22)!

Michael Kazin will be giving the monthly presentation on Icinga, an
Open Source network monitoring system.

Perhaps better known as a fork of Nagios, Icinga provides a robust
solution for monitoring everything from routers and servers, to
databases and websites, and much more if you're not afraid of a
writing a custom plugin.

Michael is a software engineer at LinkeDrive, a Boston start-up
developing a driver-coaching application which helps truck fleets save
fuel.  He implemented Icinga to provide internal real-time monitoring
of devices installed in customer fleets, as well as the company's
server infrastructure.

In his presentation, he will cover everything you need to get started
on your own implementation: from basic concepts, to initial
configuration, and on to writing a custom plugin.
