How about 'if not'?  :)  There's a fine line between genius and  
insanity.

I wonder what RedHat's thought on it would be.  It's not like they're  
getting two grand from me if a CentOS conference didn't exist - sorry  
that's Fortune 1000 clams.  I think that's the general idea on CentOS  
- better to have poor fans than no fans.  If they have a conference  
company doing the event that might be a larger hurdle.

If it were to happen, assuming multiple tracks, there would need to  
be an approval-voting system to select the venues, which could be  
expanded as the number of pre-paid attendees increased.
