Thanks for coming up with a good subject line. I knew mine was lame. :) If I use "Eject" the device /dev/sdf1 remains with leds on, plugging the SD card back in mounts the device again.
If I use "Safely Remove Drive", the device disappears and leds out. Pluggin the SD back in results in nothing.
