Do we even have an appropriate use policy?

Not formally. We have a notice on each page saying "All content is Copyright © 1999-2006 by, and the property of, the contributing authors. " which should pretty much mean that no one has the right to re-use the materials in bulk for anything, since getting every author's permission is problemmatic at best. Fair use is still permitted of course.

We also have http://wiki.gnhlug.org/twiki2/bin/view/Organizational/ LimitedCommercializationPolicy

I thought the LinuxWorld.com effort was pretty mis-directed, as our current site is a repository of that which has gone before, a calendar of upcoming events and miscellaneous projects and notes. I don't consider it a "destination" site for news, and think parrotting the news from any other party would not be providing any service to our members or the community. If anyone feels differently and would like to pursue this "opportunity" they ought to feel free, with the understanding that they'll need some sort of (hands-waving) consensus before committing to anything.
