Also go grab the wireless tool set, which includes fun stuff like
iwconfig and the like (if you don't have it already - it's not
in Debian that I found).
For those of you wanting to get into wireless, check out
the SMC wireless line. I just got in the SMC7000WBR
which combines a broadband router with an (40 bit) 802.11b
base station. Configuration is done through a frame-enabled
web browser, so no java apps or legacy OSes required.
Configuration took me all of about 10 minutes.
