Dear GRN-members, Due to several practical problems (including a high-level of virus infections), the moderators of the Goa-Research-Net have decided to transfer the list to Yahoogroups. On behalf of the moderators (Frederick Noronha and myself) we wish to express our gratitude to Goacom (to Marlon Menezes in particular) for hosting the list since its start in 1996. Marlon is now working out the transfer, which will be completed in some phases and may take a couple of weeks. It is possible that we may need to request the members interested in remaining in this forum to re-subscribe. It is also an opportunity we have as moderators to request a more active participation of the members. The forum cannot be run only by the moderators. The moderators have taken the initiative of starting the forum and will assist in safeguarding a smooth running of the forum. GRN is meant to be a tool to assist all those who are interested in knowing more about Goa (whatever the specialised area of one's interest / research) to present new information, seek clarifications, express doubts, etc. to other GRNetters! We wish that the existing members of GRN make it known to their friends and contacts. Issues of general information will continue to be handled by goanet and some other existing forums. GRN will remain faithful to its specialised", academic and research-oriented interest.
