Kenya`s famous matriarch elephant passed. Dida died from natural causes due to old age. Dida was one of Africa`s largest female elephants with very long tusks. She perished at the age of 65 years old. Dida piloted her herd through many seasons, and challenging times, particularly the drought in 2009, which left many animals both predators and prey dead. I believe that Dida leaves a legacy in the Elephant kingdom, a legacy that will stand out for years to come. RIP Dida.
