Ivana Furtado gets international rating
Panaji, Jan 21 Double U-8 world champ and triple Asian school U-8 gold
medalist, Ivana Maria Furtado achieved yet another milestone as she got her
international rating from the world body - FIDE.
With ELO 1834 points, Ivana became the youngest Goan girl to earn the
rating. She is only second to Anurag Mamal who holds the record of being the
youngest Goan rated player.
The rating came after she participated in two FIDE-rated recognised
tournaments held in Mangalore and Bangalore in June and October 2007
respectively.
