In selling Goa the politicians may have made a fast buck but erratic power supply, dry taps, congested roads and garbage all over are a direct fall out the common man has to live with due to Goa's unplanned development.
Alexio Sequeira who has been Power Minister for the last year has candidly agreed that Goa's 40 year old power lines are in bad shape and a lot of work has to be done to bring solace to the Aam Aadmi suffering from power disruptions. We all know what Mauvin Godinho did as Power Minister. But one is appalled that in the over seven long uninterrupted years as Power Minister Mr. Digambar Kamat took us for a ride in reassuring us time and again that all was getting well on the power front while guaranteeing that power failures would be a thing of the past.
