Two funny characteristics about Gilbert are nicely illustrated in this
insulting post of his. They are:

1. There is no other person who has a greater need to follow the condescending
advice he gives others, than himself.

For example, would a person who thinks and understands what he reads make a
silly categorical claim that pneumonia should be treated only with chicken
soup, as he has done?

Would a thoughtful person initiate a thread on "Religion and Science" just to
insult Fr. Ivo and me using childish language, without being provoked by us in
any way? Please see the quote and link below:

"The guys (there appear to be only a rare gal involved in such threads) talking
about religion and science, or God and humans are really talking about
pseudo-religion and pseudo-science.

The writings resemble the whining of a five-year old who needs a do-over
because he has not worked through his anal-trauma, yet.:=))"

2. The main purpose of most his posts is to attempt to show that he is wiser
and intellectually more superior than others. Unfortunately for him, he
invariably fails in this attempt, and ends up making a fool of himself, because
what he writes is more often than not transparently vacuous.

For example, the main purpose on this abusive post of his is to demean me, by
making it known that he believes that I am not a "good" or "real" scientist;
that scientists like me massage data, which I am too stupid to be able to
detect; that my writings are copied material from the internet, whereas he has
real knowledge about everything from somewhere; that Goanetters can tell that
he is much smarter than me; and that he is too important and intellectually
accomplished to waste his time arguing with me.

Here are the pertinent quotes that should illustrate this:

"It is OK to control your urge to respond without much thought. If science
cannot explain anecdotal cases, it is an issue for GOOD scientists to give it a
deep thought."
....Gilbert Lawrence

"If you are a 'real' scientist, it may hurt you to know that, what wins the
fight against cancer, in an older patient, is not infrequently the final bell -
if you know what I mean."
....Gilbert Lawrence

"Many others have alluded to your writings before on other topics. Web search
and web links is a poor substitute to knowledge."
....Gilbert Lawrence

"So scientists can and do massage their data when they present it. And people
like you buy it because you do not understand the nuances."
....Gilbert Lawrence

"For me to argue cancer management with you, is like a PhD in chemistry arguing
with someone with a Bachelor's degree. "An empty can makes the most noise""
....Gilbert Lawrence
