My good friend, Sir Vish Krishnan, who lives here in Silicon Valley, has put
together a compilation of Hindi film composers of the vintage era who remain
largely unknown. One of his selections is a song composed by Chic Chocolate -
who was really Antonio Vaz of Aldona (1916-1967). See this piece for more

The song "O Bhai Macchua" takes after our Goan folk music. It is from
the movie NAADAN (1951) and is rendered by Lata Mangeshkar and
