Hello, I hope that members of Google read this forum. I am one of the creators and administrators of the open source Flash API OpenScales (http://openscales.org/; LGPL). Now that Google Maps API for Flash is deprecated, would it be possible to allow OpenScales to display images from Google maps with a copyright ? It's forbidden with the current terms of services (see # http://code.google.com/intl/fr/apis/maps/faq.html tos_tiles) but technically it would be easy to implement.
I am convinced that a change in the terms of services will allow all Flash users to continue to benefict the most of Google's data. Migrate to the JavaScript API is not always possible... So I wait for news of Google in response to this post or on my e-mail or on the forum OpenScales (https://groups.google.com/forum/ #!Forum/OpenScale-dev). Until then, Merry Christmas to all! Aurelien Barbier-Accary. PS: v2.0 of OpenScales will be released on 24th december ; adding Google's data could be done for the new year ;) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API For Flash" group.
