You could first create a map webpage and host it online. It should be accessible from the internet so that it satisfies the API Terms and Conditions of Use.
Then in your C++ application add a web browser control. Customise the web browser control to make the GUI for your map page. I've successfully done this with Delphi 7 and it's built in IE based TWebBrowser control. There is also a Mozilla based browser control available. http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&newwindow=1&safe=off&q=c%2B%2B+web+browser+control&btnG=Search&meta= Martin.
