I just noticed this morning that there are some recent mails sent to our mailing list that are not available on https://www.mail-archive.com/users@lists.open-mpi.org/.
Specifically: 1. Here's the beginning of a thread started on 8 Feb, mail sent by Siegmar Gross: https://www.mail-archive.com/users@lists.open-mpi.org/msg30591.html 2. mail-archive is showing 3 replies: 2a. Sent by me on 8 Feb, https://www.mail-archive.com/users@lists.open-mpi.org/msg30592.html 2b. Sent by Gilles on 8 Feb, https://www.mail-archive.com/users@lists.open-mpi.org/msg30606.html 2c. Sent by me today (15 Feb), https://www.mail-archive.com/users@lists.open-mpi.org/msg30631.html 3. However, there are 2 more mails from Siegmar that are not shown on mail-archive.com (and searching for their message IDs doesn't turn them up, either). Specifically: 3a. Siegmar replied to the 2b mail on 9 Feb (to the entire list -- not a unicast reply), message ID: 99d0234e-9494-cdbf-e8a0-36fc77b58...@informatik.hs-fulda.de 3b. Siegmar replied to the 2c mail on 9 Feb (to the entire list -- not a unicast reply), message ID: c244c9b9-9067-0018-469c-34b77862c...@informatik.hs-fulda.de But neither 3a nor 3b are showing on mail-archive. Indeed, in the 2c mail (from me / on mail-archive), you can see that I'm replying to the 3b mail (which isn't on mail-archive). Any idea how this could have happened? Is there a way to tell if mail-archive received this mail, but chose not to display it (e.g., a false positive anti-spam or anti-virus measure)? Is there a way to tell if this has happened in other cases? ...ah, I see what might have happened. Siegmar attached "config.log" to the 3a and 3b mails (a text config file that we asked him to send as a debugging measure). Could that have caused them to get dropped from the mail-archive side, e.g., as an anti-virus/spam mechanism? Assuming that if I attached the two missing mails here (containing "config.log" attachments), they'd get dropped again, I've uploaded these two messages elsewhere. Can they be added to the us...@open-mpi.org mail-archive? http://jeff.squyres.com/for-mail-archive/ Thank you! -- Jeff Squyres jsquy...@cisco.com _______________________________________________ Gossip mailing list https://www.mail-archive.com/gossip@mail-archive.com https://www.mail-archive.com/cgi-bin/mailman/options/gossip
