Hi Tim, you can still choose to only install what you need, but it the best experience is provided installing most of it. With MacGPG2 or MacGPG1 you'll not run into any problems which have to be expected with custom installed versions of GPG. GPG Keychain Access is a great way to administer all your GPG keys via an easy to use and intuitive UI and GPGPreferences makes it easy to set the configure the most important options.
So you see it makes sense to install the complete package.
