Did you follow section 5.1.2 of the link that you point to at URL1. The short answer is you need to use $GLOBUS_LOCATION/bin/*pthr/shared/globus-url-copy for 2-party (file->server or server->file) udt transfers to work.

Hello all, I'm trying to get gridftp working using the UDT protocol, as
it seems to be one of the only implementations of UDT in the world.
I've followed the instructions in URL1 (below), and it's not working.
When I run $GLOBUS_LOCATION/bin/globus-url-copy -v -udt
file:/export/home/glovett/100Megger sshftp://server/dev/shm, I get as
output:

Source: file:/export/home/glovett/
Dest: sshftp://ukexternal1/dev/shm/
  100Megger

error: globus_ftp_client: the server responded with an error
250 OK.

Using ldd, on globus-url-copy and globus-gridftp-server, I don't see any
udt libraries. Using strings, I see the -udt option in globus-url-copy,
and no mention of udt in globus-gridftp-server.

Both client and server use CentOS 5.2, with Globus 4.2 compiled from
source with 'make udt; make gridftp; make install'. I have confirmed
that the client and server aren't using udt without the -udt option with
tcpdump. Any help/ideas appreciated.

Thanks!
Geoff
