Hi,
because nobody had a solution for my problem, I will answer by myself :-):

I executed

   cpan -i Compress::Zlib

and this problem was solved.

I want to install gt 5.0.0 on Debian 5.0.4 (Lenny). The output of the configure-script looks ok:

server:~/software/gt5.0.0-all-source-installer# ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/globus-5.0.0/

checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnu
configure: creating ./config.status
config.status: creating Makefile

But if I start make, I get the following error:

server:~/software/gt5.0.0-all-source-installer# make

I found a description of the same problem on http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.clustering.globus.user/5332, but I haven't found a solution.

Does anybody know a solution for this problem?
