| Konkani film will help charities |
| THE Young Goans Club is to screen one of the latest Konkani movies to support local charities in Bahrain. Padri, Prince Jacob's latest movie, will be screened at the Bishop Tirinanzi Auditorium, at the Sacred Heart Church, Manama, at 7pm on January 6. The event is being held under the banner of the Lobo International
company, as part of it charity work. Funds raised from ticket sales will be used to support charities in Bahrain, especially those for children, said programme co-ordinator Anand Lobo. The film is produced by Raymond Quardos, from Mangalore and directed by Rajesh Fernandes, from Goa. Music is given by Wilfy Rebimbus. "We urge people to attend this programme which is of its first kind in Bahrain," said Mr Lobo. Entrance tickets are priced BD3 and BD2. The ticket launching for the event will be held tomorrow, during the club's annual get-together, at the Palace Inn, in Adliya, from 8pm. President Mr Pereira will receive the first ticket from Karnataka Social Club's former president Ronald D'Souza.
