Panic as fire breaks out in Indian School -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kuwait Times: A fire broke out in the Indian Community School (Junior) in Salmiya yesterday injuring a few students, one critically, and causing widespread panic among parents and teachers. Several fire tenders were pressed into service and fire brigade personnel cordoned off the school area after the students were evacuated to a nearby hall of the Ministry of Education. The school has been closed until further order. Two children were taken to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital where one girl was in critical condition in the ICU for suffocation. The other student was discharged after first aid. A few other students sustained minor injuries as they were moved out of their classrooms after the blaze was detected in the basement of the school building shortly after classes began at 7.30. am.
