| Dubai: 'Emirates Paradela Family' - Usher in the Christmas Spirit |

President in Karama, Dubai. Christmas carols by the children of the Paradela members and the arrival of Santa Claus who too joined the kids on stage got everyone into the festive mood of the yuletide season. President Claude Pinto extended a warm and hearty welcome and Micheal Dsilva read out the report of the activities of the past year outlining the forthcoming mega event on February 10th at the Al Jazeera resort. The lively comperes Rohan Rebello and Earl Joy did a marvelous job in making every moment of the Christmas party a lively one and were ably supported by the DJ Jayant DSilva and musician James on the keyboard and guitar. Paradela members are surely a talented lot and so are their kids this could be well seen with the wonderful performances rendered by Areen Pinto and Alston Sequeira and the talented sisters Tina and Dina Sequeira. The added attraction of the day was the energetic dances by Vinod Sequeira and team of Ocean kids which really kept everyone in rapt attention. It was indeed a delight to see the Paradela members come in Christmassy attire to enact the Natalaso Khel adding a touch of traditional flavour to the Party. Claude the lively President and his team did a fantastic job by dancing to the Konkani numbers to a thunderous applause by one and all around. Spot prizes and games kept everyone engaged in the activities and the dance session had practically everyone on floor twisting and swaying their bodies to the wonderful tunes played by the DJ. The dance floor was packed and members were dancing close to one another symbolizing the Unity and oneness of spirit. Prizes were distributed by the wellwishers of the Paradela family who have been ready to support and encourage the activities of Emirates Paradela. The function ended with a vote of thanks by the Vice President Linus Sequeira who made a special mention that the forthcoming function on February 10th needed the efforts of each and everyone not only the members but also the generous sponsors and donors who have always been supporting the cause of Emirates Paradela since the last 10 years to make the function a grand success. A tasty buffet lunch was served to one and all and everyone went home with a wonderful feeling of Christmas a feeling of Love, Peace and Joy. |
