Hi,
I am trying to use hadoop on Windows Vista.
When I try to run the distributed grep [ As given in the getting started
section of Hadoop] I get the following error:
$ bin/hadoop org.apache.hadoop.mapred.demo.Grep input output 'dfs[a-z.]+'
cygpath: cannot create short name of
c:\Users\vijay\Documents\code\hadoop\hadoop
-0.12.3\hadoop-0.12.3\logs
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Vista-x86-32
I was not able to find the Vista-x86-32.class [or java] class file anywhere
in the distribution
I have also included the relevant jars in the classpath..
$ echo $CLASSPATH
./hadoop-0.12.3-core.jar;./hadoop-0.12.3-examples.jar;./hadoop-
0.12.3-test.jar
Please let me know if anyone has experiences a similar problem ans solved
it..
